The ambition was to develop a strong, durable and easy-to-clean upholstery fabric, which is suitable for all types of upholstery. It was a challenging ride, but after several steps we realized this new 100% polyester textile, which has the touch like leather.
The production process is rather unique, a soft new finish provides Zegna a comfortable and natural hand feel, but also an elegant and slightly shiny look. Please note that during use this aspect will become a bit more roughened / visible, this has no further influence on the durability of this quality.
Zegna is machine-washable at 30 degrees, this finish also provides a damp and dirt resistancy, therefor liquids and other substances have hardly any chance. Furthermore, this suede is laminated with a thick backing, available from stock in a commercial and trendy colour. Zegna will lift up the furniture for sure.
